Steroid Maximus.

THEO PANOUSOPOULOS
JOB: TechVirtuo-so
AGE: Older than
Greg, younger than you.
HOME TOWN: Nogales,
Sonora
SECRET IDENTITY: Modest 'puter geek.
PHYSICAL
CHARACTERISTICS: Dark and mysterious clad in
Euro-urban-haute-couture a half size too small.
FAVORITE OZ
CHARACTER: The Scarecrow by Michael Jackson in THE WIZ, because his
moves touched me as a child. "Just ease on down, ease on down, down
the road. Don't you carry nothing that might be a load. Come on just
ease on down, ease on down, down the road."
FIRST COMIC READ:
Red Star.
FAVORITE FILMS: Brazil, Fire and Ice (1983),
Damnation Alley (1977), Princess Bride, Hair.
INSPIRATION FOR
DOROTHY: I never enjoyed the Hollywood Wizard of Oz by
Metro-Goldwyn-Meyer. I actually can't stand it. On the other hand, I
was fascinated by The Wiz (a kick-ass Motown remake of the
'classic', unknown to most). I know it's still a musical, but come
on, biker gang monkeys? Yes, Oz could be way cooler than those
freakish lollypop munchkins. Unfortunately most people see the world
of Oz through the hokey-pokey eyes of Old Hollywood, and to me
that's kinda sad. So I like to believe I'm doing a bit of justice
for a misrepresented story.
FAVORITE SCENE IN STAR WARS:
Empire. C3P0-"the possibilities of successfully navigating an
asteroid field are three thousand seven hundred and twenty to one".
Han-"never tell me the odds"... the best asteroid space chase scene
ever.
MUSIC TO CREATE BY: Astral Projection goa, The Creation
Day One trance, Old Man and the Sea book on tape.
HOW I
PREPARED FOR MY ROLE IN DOROTHY: 4 nights in Rocky Point with $200
in fireworks, hardly enough water, and too much beer.
